Steak with mushrooms and vegetable chips

    plant-based steaks e.g. Vivera Plant Steak
  • 4 tbsp
  • 250 g
  • 1
    garlic clove
  • 350 g
  • 150 g
  • 1 tsp


  1. Peel the carrots and parsnips, and cut into thin chips.
  2. Mix the vegetable chips with 2 tbsp oil, salt, pepper and thyme.
  3. Bake the vegetable chips on a baking tray for 25 minutes in a preheated oven (175 °C or 350 °F).
  4. Slice the mushrooms and crush the garlic.
  5. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, and fry the steak on both sides for 9 minutes.
  6. Remove the steaks from the pan, and allow them to cool for 2 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, fry the mushrooms and garlic until golden brown.
  8. Serve the steak with the mushrooms and the vegetable chips, seasoned with salt and pepper if necessary.
