In the UK, we work with local authorities and school caterers to increase the health and sustainability of school food. We review menus and provide advice, new recipes, and plant-based cooking workshops to increase the quality and quantity of plant-based food in schools. We also influence national food policy as a co-founder of the Plant-based Food Alliance UK, and raise awareness of the importance of plant-based food for people, animals, and the planet through our campaigns.

Internationally, we engage with all relevant stakeholders to create a food system where everyone chooses delicious and healthy food that is good for all humans, animals, and our planet. ProVeg has received the United Nations’ Momentum for Change Award and works closely with key UN food and environment agencies. We have observer status with the UNFCCC and the IPCC, special consultative status with ECOSOC, and are accredited for UNEA.

ProVeg UK is a non-profit organisation, registered as a community interest company and entirely donor-funded.
