In the UK, we work with local authorities and school caterers to increase the health and sustainability of school food. We review menus and provide advice, new recipes, and plant-based cooking workshops to increase the quality and quantity of plant-based food in schools. We also influence national food policy as a co-founder of the Plant-based Food Alliance UK, and raise awareness of the importance of plant-based food for people, animals, and the planet through our campaigns.

Internationally, we work with decision-making bodies, governments, food producers, investors, the media, and the general public to help the world transition to a society and economy that are less dependent on animal agriculture and more sustainable for humans, animals, and the planet. ProVeg has permanent-observer status with the UNFCCC, is accredited for UNEA, and has received the United Nations’ Momentum for Change Award.

ProVeg UK is a non-profit organisation, registered as a community interest company and entirely donor-funded.
