October 29, 2021
The petition asking world leaders to formally recognise the global warming impact of industrialised animal agriculture at the Conference of Parties (COP26) and commit to develop and invest in mitigation strategies to support and drive a just transition towards plant-centric food-systems, is in a weeks time signed by more than 60,000 people.
NGO’s pushing the petition include HSI, Four Paws and ProVeg International.
Intensive animal agriculture is largely being ignored by world leaders at @COP26 despite being one of the largest contributors to #climatechange. SIGN to urge #COP26 to STOP ignoring #TheCowInTheRoom & help save animals & our planet! 🐄💨🌍 https://t.co/NjcbdwnQHJ pic.twitter.com/IKEnR5FucD
