Beetroot Bread (VE)

Sweet, earthy and nutritious, this recipe has been lovingly crafted by our wonderful plant-based chef Lisa. Spice up your baking with this fun recipe!

  • Preparation Time: 15 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 300 ml
    Plant milk
  • 1 tsp
    Apple cider vinegar
  • 300 g
    Spelt flour
  • 200 g
    Plain flour
  • 1 tsp
    Bicarbonate of soda
  • 5 g
    Fine sea salt
  • 100 g
    Beetroot Finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Add the apple cider vinegar to the plant milk and stir.

  2. Add the flours, bicarbonate of soda, sea salt beetroot and milk mix into a bowl and mix. 

  3. When the mixture forms a loose dough, use your hands to shape into a loaf shape.

  4. Sprinkle a tablespoon of flour the bottom of a 1lb loaf tin.

  5. Place the dough into the tin and bake for 35 – 40 minutes in a preheated oven (200c)
