World Plant Milk Day
Get your taste on World Plant Milk Day 2021
August 17, 2021
Join us in celebrating World Plant Milk Day, 22 August, and get the opportunity to taste our favourite options. Empowered by our meaningful partnerships, we are making plant milk more accessible for all South Africans to try! Whether you are a curious coffee connoisseur or a dedicated consumer, there is an opportunity for you to learn more, save and win mega prizes during the week of World Plant Milk Day 2021.
With so many options, you have to give it a try!
We consider ourselves the experts on all things plant milk – last year we discovered and tasted over 80 plant milk options available in our country. Almond, soya and oat milk were the most common varieties, but South Africans can also choose brown rice, cashew, coconut, hazelnut, hemp, macadamia, quinoa, rice and tiger nut milk! If you are new to plant milk – why not order it prepared by a professional barista to get your first taste.Â
One of the most common ways that South Africans enjoy their plant milk is prepared with coffee. There is a wide variety of barista plant milk options available, but there is one brand that has really stepped up the game in terms of variety and taste. MILKLAB offers an award winning barista range from Australia, and many consumers report doing a double take after ordering their almond milk in coffee shops. This year, MILKLAB will be launching a fifth Oat Milk to complement their Almond, Soya, Coconut and Macadamia options.
If you are not interested in caffeine, try ordering plant milk with a Red Cappuccino or Red Latte. These drinks are made entirely of rooibos tea espresso and are also a great way to give plant milk a first try. Of course, you can also spice it up with Red Espresso’s full range of Matcha Latte, Beetroot Latte, Turmeric Latte and Chai Latte!
