You eat Vegan, abillionveg donates towards Animal Welfare

Imagine a platform that helps you to find good vegan options near you, review vegan options you try, encourages food businesses to increase or improve their plant-based options – and at the same time raises funds for animal welfare charities? That platform exists, and it’s called abillionveg!
Thanks to hundreds of people reviewing plant-based food, and to ambassadors like The Cape Town Vegan – who has lead the way in promoting the platform locally – abillionveg has already donated more than R130,000 to the Greyon Farm Animal Sanctuary, and over R300,000 in total to South African sanctuaries.
ProVeg SA recently joined the abillionveg community, and just by reviewing our favourite food options we’ve been able to contribute to funds going to Greyton. Keep reading to find out how you can do the same for your local animal rescue organisation by simply reviewing vegan products.

Donate to animal rescue for free
Simply post a photo of your plant-based dish or product and add a review. Once you hit 10 reviews, you will be able to donate US$10 to raise funds for more than 50 of abillionveg’s animal welfare partners. You get to choose where your US$10 goes, which is not a bad deal for your 2 cents. That is obviously a joke, because using this app is completely free!
Discover vegan options nearby
The explore function helps you to discover vegan products close by. I was recently surprised to find a vegan pizza within 2km of my home that does free delivery! You are also able to use this app while travelling, to reveal vegan options wherever you are in the world.
Drive change
Abillionveg allows you to poke businesses to voice your feedback, and encourage them to include more plant-based options on their menu or shelves.
The world’s first vegan product review app
It’s great to know where to get plant-based food, but being a vegan often extends far outside of the kitchen. When eliminating all animal products, it is important to consider the clothes we wear, and the products we use on our body. This app is the first to create a platform to share experiences with vegan cosmetics, and apparel.
Community building
Connecting with like-minded people provides support in sustaining your efforts when creating dietary and lifestyle changes. You are able to engage with the plant-based community, by liking and commenting on their reviews.
